 Synopsis                                                                      Cast and Crew

History comes to life in an amazing tale of England's King Henry II and his wife, the formidable Eleanor of Aquitaine. It is Christmas, 1183 and the whole family (Henry, Eleanor, and their three grown sons, Richard, Geoffrey, and John) is gathered at the winter palace for gifts, gamesmanship, and as much blood-letting as the holiday will allow. The parents are out for power; the sons, for the crown. As they jockey for position, we catch a glimpse of the larger-than-life people who shaped an empire. A great, rousing tale of Europe's first "Power Couple," it's a perfect entertainment for a long winter's night.
